Xth Sense First Prize in the Guthman New Musical Instrument Competition, US

The critically acclaimed Guthman Competition seeks to find the world’s best new ideas in musicality, design, and engineering. It takes place at Georgia Tech, Atlanta, US. The Xth Sense, has been awarded the first prize as the "world's most innovative new musical instrument". The Xth Sense is a free and open project; release for public use is scheduled in April 2012.

Experimental seminar session with Marco Donnarumma and Daito Manabe

Translab, the research center at Centro Multimedia in Mexico DF, invited me to hold an open seminar in couple with Daito Manabe in occasion of the conference "Liveness: prosthesis, gesture and metaphor". We will develop a theoretical and practical collaborative approach to the issue of the body in intermedia and performative environments.

Speaking in Ireland and Mexico

I'm an invited speaker for the plenary session of the Two Thousand + TWELVE symposium at SARC, Belfast, along with Atau Tanaka, Ben Knapp, Susan Kozel. This year theme is the Body's Music.
I am also invited to the panel discussion of the Mexican conference "Liveness"; other speakers include Mark Coniglio, Daito Manabe, Ivani Santana and Martin Bakero. The conference is free.

Forthcoming performances for enhanced body in Ireland and UK

Three performances of "Music for Flesh II" are scheduled in March and April. The piece will be performed within the programme of the Sonorities festival, at the Sonic Arts Research Center (SARC), Belfast; next during the BEAM Night at Cafè OTO, London; and again at INTER/actions, at Bangor University. Music for Flesh II selected for Robots&Avatars touring exhibition

'The R&A Exhibition will feature cutting edge art pieces' including robotics, immersive installations and techno-bodily performances through a series of events in Europe in 2012/2013. Further information on the performance of my interactive music piece for enhanced body Music for Flesh II will follow in the upcoming months.

In occasion of the premiere of my new work "Hypo Chrysos" at Madatac Festival, Madrid, I gave two interviews (in Spanish) for RTVE, the National Spanish Television and Radio.
