Where performance art and sound art converge through technology, here lies Marco Donnarumma’s work. Italian born, living and working in London, Marco focuses on how to configure human bodies and machines through sound. He uses biotechnologies, software algorithms and body sensors to create intensely physical performances, concerts and live installations.
Marco’s new essay “Nigredo: configuring human and technological bodies” has just been published in the book Experiencing the Unconventional – Science in Art.
Marco Donnarumma has been selected for the European-funded project “SHAPE – Sound, Heterogeneous Art and Performance in Europe”.
The European platform, presented by 16 leading cultural institutions, fosters the promotion of innovative musicians and sound artists as well as the circulation of their works throughout Europe.
